Co-producing a research project is an approach in which researchers, members of the public and practitioners work together, sharing power and responsibility from the start to the end of the project towards a common goal.
Common Ambition Bristol (CAB) is a co-production project where members of the African and Caribbean heritage communities are working in equal partnership with sexual health staff to co-produce and delivering community-led interventions to reduce HIV stigma and improve access to HIV testing. CAB have published a co-production toolkit to help guide researchers and service providers who want to use co-production to improve health services.
This session will share the learning from CAB and talk through the toolkit and the steps from setting up and planning co-production and delivering co-produced interventions. This session will be particularly useful for researchers considering using co-production or anyone wanting to find out more.
