Bridging Borders: Generating Interdisciplinary Research Connections
Bridging Borders: Generating Interdisciplinary Research Connections
Share this event
This session brings together five speakers who are approaching the topic of 'borders' from a range of distinctive academic disciplines including literary criticism, cultural theory, history, geography, politics and linguistics.
This informal round table discussion will explore:
- How does interdisciplinary research come about?
- How do we forge connections across methodologies, languages, Schools and Institutions?
- What model might the inherently collaborative work across languages and cultural zones in the School of Modern languages provide us with, and how might this be built on in different contexts?
- How does the methodological keyword of 'borders' allow us to come together in unexpected, interdisciplinary ways?
- What new connections can we already discover in this session, through conversation and collaboration?
