Articulating Your Value: Personal Branding for Career Success

How confidently can you talk about what you do, your skills, and the value you add - at interview, on LinkedIn, or when meeting new people?
Join the Science Partnership Office for an engaging and interactive session focused on helping you understand your strengths and communicate them clearly and authentically. This practical workshop will support you to recognise your transferable skills, build confidence in telling your story, and take a more proactive approach to promoting yourself and your work.

The session will be co‑hosted by Aegis Professor Loraine McIlree, who brings extensive experience coaching individuals to succeed at interview and progress in their careers. Loraine will share practical insights into what makes a strong professional impression and how to present yourself effectively in different contexts.

Through discussion and hands‑on exercises, you will:

  • Identify your strengths, values and transferable skills
  • Create a clear personal brand statement you can reuse and adapt
  • Practise how to articulate your experience with confidence
  • Explore networking and visibility as essential career skills

You’ll leave with increased self‑confidence and tools you can apply immediately to interviews, internal opportunities, and professional networking.

Everyone has a personal brand - this session will help you shape and use yours.
