UC Pride UK is excited to extend an invitation for you to join us in celebrating our launch through a virtual event. This event will encompass a watch party, a movie discussion, and an outline of our future endeavors for the UC Pride UK alumni club.

During the watch party segment, we will screen a curated selection of short films from the BFI Flare film festival’s Five Films For Freedom (pending schedule confirmation). These short films serve as a digital tribute to diverse LGBTQIA+ narratives worldwide, advocating for the rights of individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual. The Five Films for Freedom initiative is a collaboration between The British Council and BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival.

Following the screenings, the discussion will commence, focusing on the themes explored in the movies and inviting reflections on personal experiences of coming out or supporting LGBTQ+ individuals. We would also love to take this time to share and recommend your favorite queer films, TV shows, and books with the group.

Concluding the event, we will present an overview of the UC Pride UK alumni club's forthcoming plans, sharing our aspirations and eagerly soliciting your valuable input.
