UC Alumni UK Network Kick-Off | Pitch Lab with UC Santa Cruz

Join us for our Annual Kick-Off - a fantastic opportunity to connect and network with fellow UC alumni and newly arrived UCEAP students from across all 10 UC campuses!

Our program will begin at 7:00pm with introductions from UC Alumni UK President Claire Frost. Learn more about getting involved with your campus network, and other all UC activities in the capital such as our Gala Committee, UC Pride UK, UC Running Club, Mentorship Program, and Sustainability Committee.

Following the introductions, UC Santa Cruz will host the Perfecting the Pitch Lab at approximately 7:30. Tech Transactions Lawyer and UCSC co-President Harneel ("Neely") Lally ('10) will briefly highlight startup culture at UCSC as well as opportunities in London. UCSC co-President and PBS Newshour Correspondent, Ryan Chilcote ('95) will moderate a group of startup founders and industry experts on "Perfecting Your Pitch: Lessons from Startups and the Industry," hosted by UC Santa Cruz!

The networking event is designed for UC alumni and students who want to sharpen their communication skills and make a memorable impression, whether they’re pitching a business idea or interviewing for their dream job. The panel of speakers will feature inspiring examples from select alumni who will share their own pitches and experiences. Join us to learn practical strategies, gain confidence, and connect with your UC community to take your ideas and careers to the next level.

Following the lab, you will have a chance to practice and perfect your pitch with the UC Alumni UK community in our networking reception! Enjoy drinks and nibbles while learning more about your UC campus network and the alumni affinity groups here in the capital.

Please note the venue is limited to guests 21+. The capacity of the venue is limited, so we encourage you to purchase your tickets early!

Tickets include entry to the event, a welcome drink, and pizza.

About UC Alumni UK

This lifelong living and learning community brings together the alumni presidents of those UC campuses with active clubs in the UK. At present, Berkeley, Berkeley Haas, Davis, Irvine, UCLA, UCLA Anderson, Merced, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz have active alumni groups in the UK. UC Alumni UK seeks to support knowledge exchange and alumni enrichment activities and foster the development of those UC campuses that are not yet active in the UK.
