Olé UK invites all UC Alumni to join us for an evening In Conversation with Tessa West, Author of Jerks at Work. This event will be moderated by UCSB UK Co-President, Kara Goslin (UCSB ‘10) and will explore Jerks at Work, which provides a hands-on guide to tackling everyday problems with difficult people in the workplace.
We encourage you to grab a copy of the book prior to the event and have your questions ready for Tessa during our Q&A section. At the end of the event you are welcome to stick around on Zoom for a virtual happy hour with a beverage of your choice!
About our Speaker
Tessa West is an Associate Professor of Psychology at New York University and a leading expert in the science of interpersonal communication. Her research focuses on questions such as: How can we improve communication across cultural and national divides, and what hurdles do we need to overcome to make hybrid communication work? Tessa is an alumna of UC Santa Barbara where she obtained her Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2003.
