Is AI and Maths the future of healthcare

SofTMech is a large and established Centre of Mathematics for Healthcare within the University of Glasgow funded by the EPSRC https://www.softmech.org/

The Vision of one of our grants - The Research Hub on Statistical Emulation and Uncertainty Quantification in Cardiac Mechanics  is to develop mathematical and computational models to help clinicians decide on the best treatment option. In addition AI has changed the landscape and offers new possibilities.  What might this mean for patient treatment in the future ?

In conjunction with NHS Research Scotland (NRS) Cardiovascular Network and  the School of Health and Social Care at Edinburgh Napier University we are running a patient day. The day will have short talks, breakout sessions and discussion. There will be the opportunity to go on a Virtual Reality Tour of the heart.  At registration patients can view the tour and decide to sign up if they wish.  

For patients wishing to attend travel will be covered.   Where patients require overnight accommodation this will also be covered at the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel Beardmore Street, Clydebank Glasgow, G81 4SA
