Real Help for Real Businesses: Local University Business Support

Could your business or social enterprise benefit from support from local universities?

Join us on 28 October 2026, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm for this event delivered in partnership with Melton Borough Council to make new connections, ask questions, and discover the practical support available from the University of Leicester and De Montfort University.

Ian Harmer (University of Leicester School of Business) and Bobby Chotai (DMU Castle Business School) will introduce the UK government’s Help to Grow: Management programme and other opportunities, including business focussed events, executive education, internships, placements, and innovation support.

Help to Grow: Management has supported over 12,000 organisations across the UK, with 92% of participants saying they would recommend it to another business leader (Ipsos Research, 2026).

If you lead or manage an SME, social enterprise or community interest company, Help to Grow: Management could be for you. The programme is 90% government funded, with additional bursaries available from both Universities.
