Novel models and methodologies in cancer research

Join us for a symposium about novel and alternative models and methodologies applicable to cancer research.

Organised by the leads of cancer research domain of discovery and translational science, Anestis Tsakiridis, Mariaelena Pierobon and John Snowden, in the Sheffield Centre for Cancer Research, in collaboration with the Bateson Centre for Disease Mechanisms, this event is a platform for academics and technical leads to showcase novel and alternative models and approaches that you might not know about in other faculties, particularly in Science and Engineering.

We hope you will leave the event with new ideas, collaborations and a clearer picture of the innovative models, methodologies and expertise available across the university to support your research objectives.

Where: In person in Firth Hall - First Floor, Firth Court, University of Sheffield S10 2TN. The hall is up the main stairs as you enter Firth Court.

We have staff and students registered from 8 schools across health, science and engineering plus colleagues from the Biological Services Aquarium, Research Partnerships & Innovation and the Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Who should join: University of Sheffield Principal Investigators, early career researchers and PhD and Masters students in any school/faculty as well as NHS-based staff with an interest in cancer research are welcome.  You may be actively engaged in cancer research or looking to explore opportunities and collaborations.
