The Power of Community in Cancer Research

How can local voices shape the future of cancer research?

We're bringing together researchers, healthcare leaders, NHS teams and community organisations for a collaborative morning focused on aligning cancer research with the priorities of local people.

Join us to:

• Make sure community priorities directly shape what gets researched and funded.
• Network with researchers, clinicians and system leaders from across the University of Sheffield, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw Cancer Alliance, Integrated Care Board and Public Health.
• Ground research questions and grant proposals in real-world community needs.
• Build lasting partnerships that drive funded research and better patient outcomes.
  

Who it's for:

• Research & academia – academics, ECRs and PhD researchers in any faculty
• Community – community organisations and grassroots groups; community and research link workers
• Lived experience – people with lived experience of cancer, and patient/public representatives
• NHS & system – clinicians, managers and system leaders across primary and secondary care, public health, commissioning and policy
