Join us for a workshop exploring the latest computational and bioinformatics approaches in cancer research.

Featuring insights from international and local experts in oncology, genomics, and computational biology, this hybrid session offers a deep dive into cutting-edge methods driving cancer discovery—including non-coding genome analysis and advanced multi-omics profiling.

Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Livius Penter from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany.

This workshop is organised by Professor Sergio Rutella, who leads the research domain of digital health, data science and AI in the Sheffield Centre for Cancer Research, University of Sheffield, alongside Bilal Tahir and Daniele Tartarini.   

Who should join: Academics, early career researchers and Masters/PhD students in any school/faculty as well as NHS-based staff are welcome.  You may be actively engaged in cancer research or looking to explore opportunities and collaborations.  

Hybrid joining: This is an in-person event on campus at the University of Sheffield - the exact venue will be announced when room bookings open in August.  You can also choose to join the event online.
