Have you finished your bachelor’s degree and want to explore your career prospects abroad? Are you interested in a career in social work? Would you be interested to move to the UK to study and work?

This is an information event for postgraduate social work courses at the University of Sussex, Brighton, UK for prospective US applicants.

What will the event cover

At the event, you will find out about the MA in Social Work and the PGDip in Social Work courses at the University of Sussex, a Social Work England accredited program. At this event you will meet and hear about the courses from Dr Jeri Damman, an academic from the USA working in the Department, and from a recent graduate from the US who is now employed as a social worker in the UK.

Beyond information about the social work courses, we will also cover:

  • Financial aid, including how to access American Students Loans and Federal Student Aid;
  • UK and USA Social work career prospects after the two-year course, including current UK work visa routes available to recent graduates;
  • Information about the admissions process (Admissions Lead, Rebecca Stephens).

You will have an opportunity to ask any questions about the course and meet the current course lead, Dr. Rachel Larkin.

The event will be held as a zoom webinar.
