Bios:
Janina Klein is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Change at the School of Business and Economics, Department of Management and Organization. Janina obtained her PhD in Management from the University of Edinburgh Business School. Her professional background is in change management and consulting where she worked for more than twelve years in various roles. Janina's responsibilities included organizational change management (M&As and reorganization programs), executive education and business development. Janina is a certified business coach. She is an associate of the Centre for Strategic Leadership at the University of Edinburgh Business School, she is a member of the VU Center for Business & Society, and Janina was a member of the Organizational Committee for the 37th EGOS Conference.
Janina is passionate about understanding how organizations can contribute to resolving societal challenges and drive social change. Her research focuses on mission-driven organizations such as social enterprises and non-profit organizations.
Summerly Devito is co-founder and Director of The Launchpad Collective (TLC) a charity supporting refugees to be work-ready and employers to access talent to address their skills gaps. Their longer-term goal is for refugees to be recognised as enriching society.
Summerly has a migrant background herself and has spent several years volunteering for refugee support groups. Summerly's background is in language teaching and operations management, she worked as General Manager for notonthehighstreet, supporting small business development across the UK.
Rabab Al Awadhi is the Work Ready English Manager at The Launchpad Collective (TLC), Rabab was TLC's very first employee and helped co-create their pioneering Work Ready English Programme.
Previously, Rabab worked in the travel industry in the United Arab Emirates as a Senior Travel consultant and has lived in the UK for more than 5 years.
