Abstract:
Following the success of our first event, we are excited to invite you to the second edition of the “Wellbeing@Sussex” mini-conference. The event serves as a platform for interdisciplinary dialogues focusing on various facets of well-being, ranging from mental and physical health to economic and social welfare.
The
mini-conference represents a great opportunity to explore academic research on
wellbeing from a variety of perspectives pursued by scholars from and outside
Sussex University as well as to network with academics and practitioners
working in diverse fields related to well-being. The event will feature a panel
discussion with experts in the morning followed, in the afternoon, by academic
presentations from Johathan Hasford (Haslam College of Business, University of
Tennessee, Knoxville, TN); Liat Levita (School of Psychology, UoS) and Marina
Dekavalla (School of Media, Arts and Humanities, UoS).
Morning Session:

John L. Dusabe, Co-founder of “Ladder to Learning” and Environmental and Social Safeguards Specialist
Prof Joanna Callaghan, artist filmmaker and Professor of Filmmaking at University of Sussex
Title: Wellbeing: Protecting it, fostering it, interpreting it. An interdisciplinary discussion on connecting individual wellbeing to societal welfare.
There will be a networking lunch 12:15-1pm in Jub-G32. All Welcome.
