Title: How to publish in good research journals
Abstract:
I will open up the black box of the academic publishing world. I will explain what editors are looking for and therefore seek to help authors to ensure that their research articles are prepared in such a way as to maximise their chances of acceptance. I will use the Information Systems Journal as an example, but the same principles apply to all other good journals.
Bio:
Robert M Davison is a Professor of Information Systems at the City University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on the misuse of information systems. He is particularly known for his scholarship in the domain of action research. Within the AIS, Robert chaired the research ethics committee for many years, and is currently Secretary to the College of Senior Scholars. Robert currently chairs IFIP’s Technical Committee 9 (ICT and Society) and is the Editor-in-Chief of the Information Systems Journal and the Electronic Journal of Information Systems in Developing Countries. As a researcher and as an editor, he seeks to promote both an inclusive and an indigenous perspective to research.
