Campus Nature Walk - Discover our biodiversity!
Mon 29 Apr 2024 2:15 PM - 4:45 PM
Meet outside the ACCA
Description
Join us for a guided walk around campus biodiversity hotspots and be part of a worldwide citizen science event, right here on campus!
We’ll meet outside the ACCA to walk through a few of our biodiversity projects, and stop at the Love Your Scrub site to discover and record as much wildlife as possible, as part of the annual City Nature Challenge.
All you need to do is sign up to the event, download the iNaturalist app to your smartphone, and join us for a campus walk! Our campus is part of the Brighton & Eastern Downs region for this global challenge.
No identification skills are necessary, as other iNaturalist users can identify your finds. Just snap pictures of anything you spot and upload them on the app!
You can even get involved before the walk, as the City Nature Challenge event recording weekend runs from 26-29 April 2024. Watch the video to find out more about taking part in the challenge.
Disclaimer: There will be media coverage of the event, including photography. Anyone that has concerns or does not wish to be
photographed can speak to the photographer or the organiser to ask to not be included in any photography.
