Please join us for the launch event for the FREE online training course for W-ICAD, which stands for the Workshop for Inclusive Co-created Audio Description.

W-ICAD provides museums with a tool (the workshop model) through which they can produce audio description based on co-created discussions between blind, partially-blind and sighted co-creators. This training course involves 7-core modules, each taking approximately 45 minutes. These present both the theory and practice that underpins W-ICAD. We do this by using a mixture of presentations; filmed content of W-ICAD co-creators at work; interviews with co-creators and museum professionals; and a range of practical and reflection activities.

In this online launch, we will give you a brief introduction to the W-ICAD model, and the online training course. You will also get to hear from a panel of museum professionals who are on different points in their journey working with the W-ICAD model in their organizations. You will get the opportunity to ask questions, if you have any.
