What Comes Next? Fine Art Mixed Media

Join a diverse panel of graduates from the Fine Art Mixed Media BA course as they share their insights into career options after graduation. This event is part of the What Comes Next? event series and is organised by the University of Westminster's Alumni Relations Office with Peggy Atherton and Raine Smith from the course.

The panel will discuss a range of useful topics before you have the chance to ask your own questions.

As part of the event the following opportunities are available to you:

This session is part of timetabled teaching for Fine Art Mixed Media BA students as part of Level 6 (third year) module 6FIAR001W, 'Contemporary Fine Art Practice: Research and Development 3.1'. Other Fine Art Mixed Media BA students are also welcome to attend. All attending are requested to book, whether you are required to attend or not.

About the Panel

Helen Farley, Events Coordinator at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People (BA Fine Art Mixed Media, 2018)

Helen graduated with a Fine Art Mixed Media BA in 2018. She worked for Paintings in Hospitals, maintaining the art collection at University College London Hospital. Through this, she discovered her passion for arts in healthcare settings. Helen has worked for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, as a Visiting Artist and Arts Assistant. Helen became an Artist in Residence at Horatio’s Garden, leading arts-based workshops for patients with spinal injuries. She worked with Lime Arts, delivering creative workshops for NHS staff and paediatric patients. Helen is currently an Events Coordinator at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People running community based events.

Denisa Zajacova, Mixed Media Artist (BA Fine Art Mixed Media, 2023)

Denisa Zajacova is a mixed media artist born in Slovakia based in London. She graduated with a first-class honours BA in Fine Art Mixed Media from the University of Westminster in 2023. Her work delves into the paradoxes of sustainable art and themes of everyday life. In 2025 Denisa has undertook an artist residency with Bow Arts studios as well as exhibited with FUSEBOX a Creative Youth Charity and the Royal Cambrian Academy of Arts. Zajacova is also a co-founding member of Transit Grp, a London-based early career artist collective that specialises in workshops for plein air artists to overcome creative blocks. 

Isabella Armora, Lighting Technician/Photographer's Assistant (BA Fine Art Mixed Media, 2025)

Isabella Armora is a mixed media artist and lighting technician based in London. A 2025 graduate of BA Fine Art Mixed Media who began freelancing during her degree, learning lighting through hands-on experience. Balancing art studios and photography sets, Isabella has worked on campaigns with brands such as; Birkenstock, Nike and Puma. Done lighting for shoots published in Cosmopolitan, Vogue and Elle USA. Through professional connections, managed to work abroad in Paris and Milan Fashion Week, amongst many other opportunities. Her passion for lighting began to influence her artwork in final year, evolving into paintings enhanced by RGB LED lights to create animations. Her work explores the often-overlooked moments of daily life, questioning the value of "wasted" time. This led to the creation of her artistic alias, HowImWastingTime. Outside of her practice, Isabella contributes to Gunnersbury Park Museum’s Youth Programmes, where she now facilitates workshops and co-curates exhibitions.

Robbie Dalal, Art, Props, Costume assistant & Workshop Lead (BA Fine Art Mixed Media, 2018) 

Robbie Dalal is a mixed media artist from Birmingham, his main mediums are textiles, painting, sculpture, video and events. He graduated with a first-class honours BA in Mixed Media Fine Art and currently works in community arts and TV/Film.  After graduating, Robbie became a resident artist for ‘The Gap Arts Project’ which led him to curate exhibits and create work for ‘Shakespeare’s Birthplace’ during his artist-in-residency.  Robbie's experience in costume/styling ranges from shoots for Adidas , Joe Lycett and the Paralympics Homecoming Games celebration. His recent art department/ props and production credits include ‘Marvelous Minature Workshop’, ‘Late Night Lycett’ , ‘Masterchef’, The South Bank Sky Arts Awards and most recently ‘The Last Leg.’ Alongside his Film and TV work, Robbie has continued working in community arts; fundraising and hosting a range of events and workshops that utilise art, music and food to connect communities.
