Christmas wreath making workshop
Join us at the Conscious Fashion Space this December to make Christmas wreaths, reusing spare fabrics.
Christmas is an excellent time to reflect on our consumption patterns and reuse what we already have. We will be using scrap fabric and leftover material to make beautiful Christmas wreaths that you can take home with you. The Sustainability Team, the Fashion Society and Fashion School will be joined by The Seam who will lead the workshop. No sewing or making experience is required! Please bring your clean pre-loved clothes or materials which are past their best to be used in this workshop.
The event will take place at the Conscious Fashion Space, located on the Street at Harrow Campus. This space was opened last year for use by students and colleagues as an informal, creative hub for sustainable fashion events. Please reach out to the Fashion School if you would like to use this space.
A simultaneous Clothes Swap event will be taking place in the Forum at Harrow. Please bring up to ten clean clothes to swap for other clothes within our collections or brought in by other students or colleagues at UoW. Please sign up for this event HERE.
At UoW we aim to reduce waste where possible, through prevention of waste generation, reuse and recycling. This event aligns with Sustainable Development Goals, SDG12: Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 17: Partnership for the Goals.
Please sign up for the event as spaces are limited.
