University of Westminster's Annual Summer Party 2024

Celebrate the end of the year together with food, drinks and fun at Harrow.

Our annual summer party for final-year students, post-graduates and colleagues is free to attend – and is a great opportunity to mark all we’ve achieved together as a community this year.

A large open-air marquee will be set up on the lawn at Harrow, meaning we’ll be prepared for whatever the weather.

As well as music, there will be a range of entertainment and games for you to enjoy. From crazy golf to free massages, there will be something for all of you.

And with several stalls serving an array of street food – including vegetarian, vegan and halal options – there will be plenty to choose from when you get hungry.

All party-goers will be offered two welcome drinks, a main and an ice cream for free. Any additional drinks can be purchased from the bar, which will be run by the Students’ Union.

Please keep your ticket handy either in your email or you can print it out and bring it with you on the day. You can also add the event to your calendar by clicking the link in the email.

Things to remember:

• Bring your University ID card
• Food will be served from 13:00 - 18:00
• Two drinks, one meal and one dessert are included with your ticket
• Toilets and water refill stations are located in the Gym and Forum building
• Smoking is only permitted in the designated areas
• Dress appropriately for the weather
• Bring your own sun protection
• Wear suitable footwear particularly if intending to participate in activities
• Ensure the security of your personal items
• This party is for final-year students, postgraduates and colleagues only
• Photography will be taken at the event. Any photos taken may be used on the University's social media channels and for future marketing purposes.
• If after registering, you realise you can no longer attend the party, please email uow-summerparty@westminster.ac.uk to cancel. Doing so will help us to cater for the correct number of people, therefore minimising waste and helping us to run a sustainable event.

FAQs

How do I get to Harrow campus by public transport? Harrow campus is located close to Northwick Park tube station, where a number of buses stop – including the 183, 223, 483, H18 and H9. You can also reach the station via the Overground line, or the Bakerloo or Metropolitan tube lines.

Can I park at Harrow campus? Yes, there is a car park with limited spaces at Harrow campus, if you wish to drive to the party. After parking, please remember to use the iPad at reception to register your vehicle to avoid receiving a ticket.

What food and drink will be available? There will be food stalls providing a range of options and an ice cream van. The bar will serve a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

What dietary requirements will be catered to? Vegetarian, vegan and halal food options will be available.

Is the summer party free to attend? Yes! And all party-goers will be offered two welcome drinks, a main and two ice creams for free. Any additional drinks can be purchased from the bar, which will be run by the Students’ Union.

Is smoking permitted? Smoking (including use of e-cigarettes) is not permitted on University premises. The designated smoking area is located on the grass area outside the Gateway cafe (near Northwick Park tube station).

Are toilets available? Yes, nearest toilets can be found in the Gym or Forum building.

Where do I go once I arrive at Harrow campus? The party will take place at Harrow campus on the green opposite the entrance to the Forum.

Can I get assistance to access this event? To ensure we can provide the most appropriate assistance, please inform us of your requirement at the time of booking or contact us on uow-summerparty@westminster.ac.uk

Can I bring a guest? No, the event is only for Westminster final year students, post-graduates and colleagues who've registered in advance.

Will photography be taken? Photography will be taken at the event. Any photos taken may be used on the University's social media channels and for future marketing purposes. If you have concerns or want to avoid being photographed, please contact us on uow-summerparty@westminster.ac.uk

Will there be first aid provision? First aid cover will be provided by St John's Ambulance. The first aid point will be sign posted on the day.
