Join Soho Poly poet-in-residence Deborah Finding - and an absolutely incredible line up of fellow poets, including Cleo Henry, Kat Dixon, Iain Whiteley and Tessa Foley - at the Soho Poly on 18 April.

There will also be a chance to have drinks and chat to all the readers, and to buy signed copies of their books.

DEBORAH FINDING

Deborah Finding (she/her) is a queer feminist writer with a background in academia and activism. Her poems have been published in Propel, fourteen poems, The Friday Poem, berlin lit, the Alchemy Spoon and many anthologies. Her debut pamphlet, ‘vigils for dead and dying girls’ is published with Nine Pens, and her second 'amortisation' won the Live Canon pamphlet competition and will be out later this year. She won the Write By The Sea single poem prize, and has been shortlisted or commended for the Troubadour, Live Canon, Hexham, Hammond House and Ver Poets Prizes . She is poet in residence at London’s Soho Poly.

KAT DIXON

Kat Dixon (she/her) is a queer writer living in London. Her poetry has appeared in The Rialto, Butcher’s Dog, Queerlings, Mslexia, fourteenpoems, ReCreation Anthology, Spectrum Anthology and various publications. She has an MA in Writing Poetry with Newcastle University and The Poetry School. Her debut pamphlet is forthcoming with Broken Sleep Books.

TESSA FOLEY

Tessa Foley (she/her)’s debut poetry collection ‘Chalet Between Thick Ears’ and follow up "What Sort of Bird are You?" were published by Live Canon, and was a previous winner of their International Poetry Prize. She is currently working on her third collection "Try to Find Me" which is coming out with Live Canon later this year. She has recently been recognised in the Ware Poets Competition, Charroux Prize and Arts University Bournemouth Poetry Competition. Tessa works at the Poetry School in London.

IAIN WHITELEY

Iain (he/him) writes about rampaging rats, Cumbrian landscapes, electrified German monorails and crushing on Robert Peston. His poems appear in The North, The Verve Anthology of Protest, The Friday Poem and The Poetry Archive. His collection, Ping!, is published by Write Bloody UK.

CLEO HENRY

Cleo Henry (they/them) is a London based poet with an interest in queerness, giant squid and the apocalypse. They released their first pamphlet, The Last Lesbian Bar in the Midlands, with Fourteen Poems in 2022. They have also been published in Ambit, Fruit Journal and by Cipher Press, Pilot Press and Broken Sleep Books.
