Tide Turners: Women in Cornwall Business
Tue 1 Oct 2024 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM
The Barn @ Pengelly, TR4 9BG
Description
Limitless inspiration, plenty of great stories, five brilliant women: one amazing day!
The UK economy sits on a largely untapped seam of pure gold in the form of the power of women entrepreneurship. The government-commissioned Rose Review describes this as a force capable of adding £250 billion to the UK economy, and on 1st October everyone is welcome to join current and future female business leaders in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly as they talk about their successes, obstacles and insights.
Whether you are just starting out, or turning over up to £1m, you’ll find elements which resonate and inspire in their richly varied and diverse stories of overcoming hurdles, embedding sustainability, as well as building teams and resilience.
Host Lucy Cox, award-winning business and confidence coach and director of the AcadeMe, will introduce and talk to Bella Collins, Laura Whyte, Emma Caddis and Jo Murray. Their experiences encompasses (deep breath, please), world-record endurance rowing, revolutionising accountancy, cultivating internationally-successful business, and taking the scenic, rollercoaster route through app development.
Sound like a lot?
That’s because it really is. And it’ll fly by in a blur of lightning talks, Q&As, table discussions, as well as – of course – an excellent lunch and opportunities for networking. All of which adds up to an event which will showcase, connect and empower Cornwall and Isles of Scilly women-owned businesses with the confidence, tools and contacts to scale and succeed.
Book your place.
