Brand Builders

  • What does your brand say about what your business does, and what it’s like?
  • What does it say about you?
  • Does it say those things deliberately or by accident?

Whether you’re a creative or not, whether you’re selling a product or a service, and whether you're just building your brand or already turning over millions, we think these are questions worth asking.

Come to our Brand Builders event on Tuesday 10th February 10am - 2pm and start to move your business to the next level by developing or refreshing your brand in an authentic and practical way.

Ally Glover (Co-Founder and Managing Director of Happy Business with over three decades’ experience working with and supporting businesses) will introduce four experts whose expertise and experience span brand strategy, maintaining authenticity, brand reputation, and keeping communications human.

Our keynote, James Rutter, was originally Chief Creative Officer with COOK, one of the nation's best-loved food brands, which he helped grow from £30m to £130m in sales. Now their Chief Strategy Officer, he helps businesses create unstoppable momentum by aligning strategy, culture, and brand.

John Brown is a communications and brand consultant, as well as the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce’s CEO. He’ll be talking about the importance of vulnerability in marketing, and how, in the face of wall-to-wall AI, misinformation and brand management, we can – and should – still communicate like humans.

Charlie Hocking is creative director and co-founder of Falmouth-based Studio Kiln, which is winning awards and plaudits on a first-in-the-UK, third-in-the-world scale. He’ll be talking about the difference between shouting the loudest and creating the most impact (i.e., why add to the noise when you can cut through it?).

Rachel Foster, a member of the Chartered Institute of PR, with 15 years’ experience, will speak about how businesses build their brands and protect their reputations (especially timely in light of the recent examples of the BBC and M&S).

This engaging, practical and fast-moving workshop – which comes with plenty opportunities to network – will help you look with fresh eyes at building a brand strategy which closely aligns with who you are as a brand owner.
