A staged reading of a modern sequel to Havel's Vaněk plays.

Frida Vaněk, niece of famous Czech writer/dissident Ferdinand Vaněk, grew up in America. When Frida's mother dies, Frida finds a file her mother had hidden all her life. It takes Frida in through a series of meetings in Amsterdam, across America, and eventually back in Prague, in search of the correct moral response to both the past and the present.

With Rehearsal for Truth, presented by the Vaclav Havel Center and the Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association, in honor of Havel's 90th birthday.
