Free English & Maths Support - for children aged 5-8 who access free school meals

This free programme helps children aged 5–8 build confidence with reading, writing and numbers in a relaxed and supportive way. Learning is enjoyable and pressure-free. One Maths session and one English session per week.

👨‍🏫 About the tutor
Sessions are led by an experienced tutor with a background in teaching, youth work and creative arts. He uses a range of techniques to support different learning styles and build confidence.

Friendly learning volunteers support each session.

📍 Upper Norwood Library Hub, Crystal Palace
📅 Wednesdays & Thursdays | 4:30–6:00pm (term time only)
➕ Attend one or two sessions per week
💷 Free | Places are limited

We recommend at least 15 sessions to get the most benefit.

🏠 Wednesday's session is for parents and children. Thursday's session is for children only.

✅ Children aged 5–8 (before 1st September 2026)
✅ Children receiving benefits-related free school meals, or families on low income with no recourse to public funds
