The Upper Norwood Library Hub Supporters Scheme
What is the Upper Norwood Library Hub Supporters’ Scheme?
The Supporters Scheme is an ongoing way for you to help us maintain our historic building for the community's benefit, sustain the services we provide and secure the home of the Upper Norwood Library. As a registered charity, we rely on grant funding, fundraising, and the generosity of our supporters to keep doors open and the lights on as we deliver activities our community needs and wants.
You can also support us through one-off or large donations or regular donations: https://localgiving.org/charity/uppernorwoodlibraryhub/
Our Story
The Upper Norwood Library Hub (UNLH) was born out of a successful campaign by local residents to save the Upper Norwood Joint Library. In 2016 the running of the building was transferred into the hands of the community to become the exciting and vibrant community space it is today. We are now open 6 days a week and have increased weekly opening hours from 22 to 48, whilst hosting a robust programme of activities for the local community.
What your support will help fund
Your participation in our scheme will help fund our free or subsidised services, including: free bike training and hire for women and children of domestic abuse, fuel poverty training and advice, English lessons for people with limited English, computer courses, a weekly bereavement help point, youth work, volunteering and training opportunities and our very own low cost borrowing movement the Library of Things.
You can also come and try one of the exercise classes, bask in a lovely sound bath, or even show your talent at one of our open mic nights!
