Join us for Step Into Tomorrow: Thriving with CP — a vibrant, inclusive event designed for children and  young people,  with cerebral palsy, along with their families and carers.

This day is all about connection, inspiration, and possibility. We’re celebrating individual strengths, personal journeys, and self-expression — while offering practical tools, relatable role models, and a supportive space to explore what’s possible across all stages of life with CP.

What’s On:

We’ll begin with a thought-provoking panel discussion, where you’ll hear from individuals with cerebral palsy who are thriving in their careers. This is your chance to ask questions, learn from real-life experiences, and be inspired by stories of resilience, creativity, and success.

After the panel, you’ll have the chance to choose one of three exciting workshops to take part in:

A Cooking Masterclass with Steve Deakin

Get hands-on in the kitchen with MasterChef contestant Steve Deakin and learn to cook with confidence, flavour and flair.

Dance with icandance

Move, express, and connect in an inclusive dance workshop led by Juliet (CEO of icandance), and inspiring dancers Emily and Denecia—both passionate performers challenging perceptions of disability through dance.

Mindful Movement with LAPIS

Slow down and reconnect with yourself through a gentle mindfulness movement session, guided by Lisa from LAPIS. Build body awareness and find your calm in a busy world.

Ball skills with Leon Taylor PLY 

Explore your ball skills with Paralympian Goalkeeper Leon Taylor, he went from competing at the Paralympics to coaching and mentoring. He loves navigating with different people and their access requirements how they too can enjoy participating in the “ beautiful game” 

The teams at UP-The Adult Cerebral Palsy Movement and CPotential will be around all afternoon to chat as well.
