This One is Just Right

The Uptown Film Center has reached an exciting moment in design development - we're auditioning the types of seats that may go in our theaters and we want your help. We've got seats from different manufacturers, and we're letting you play Goldilocks!

Sit in each one and tell us what you like or don't like.

Join us on Saturday, November 14, or Sunday, November 15, 2026 at The Uptown Film Center, 2626 Broadway at W. 99th Street
Choose your preferred 30-minute session to attend, for you and a guest.

THE EXPERIENCE

Sit in each of the seats and tell us what you like or dislike about each. Your comments will help us decide what seats go in the theaters.

Leave a note in our Guest Book: a memory of the former Metro, a film you can't wait to see at the Uptown, or a hope for what this space becomes.

Sessions run each day at 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm. Each session has room for 20 guests, so please reserve your spot early. RSVP by Nov 5.

Please note: When we open, we will be fully ADA compliant, but sadly, accessibility is compromised now by the current pre-construction condition. Also, this event is open to guests 16 and older.
