CAPTAIN'S NOTE: Please arrive on time as this is a shared journey and we don't want to leave anyone behind in the space vacuum.
Best way to enjoy this is through earphones or headphones but don't worry if you don't have access to such - it does help with noise issues though. Also if you turn on Original Sound for Musicians on Zoom we will hear each other better.
Event link will take you to the Zoom session. The waiting room will open 5 min before the session and we will promptly start at 7:00 PM UK time (US friends - your times listed above). Each session lasts 30 minutes.
If you have purchased the monthly pack you can use the Zoom same link for each session during the month.

TELL ME MORE:
You are invited to join Uran for a one of a kind vocal improvisation practice on Zoom every Wednesday. The intention is to co-create a free singing space where we can tap into our unique expression as we connect with other voices. It is called Vocal Improv Space Shuttle because each session is a journey to explore your voice in new ways while being contained in musical and workshop structures that provide safety.
The plan is simple: we warm up, we play a quick vocal improv game and we improvise over live looping music crafted in the moment by Uran, using voice and loop station.
This event is open to all levels from complete beginners to seasoned improvisers. Except the part where we play a vocal improv game you will be muted, improvising within the comfort of not being heard by anyone else. There will be moments when you will be invited to unmute and share your voice with others, if you wish to do so.
Each session takes 30 min and the fee is £10 per session. You can book sessions individually or buy a monthly pack. (Discounted for £25) There are also supporter tickets available for those who have the means and would like to support Uranian Spacelines.

ABOUT ME:
I’m an Istanbul-born, London-based artist working with voice, myth, and transformation. My multidisciplinary practice flows through music, performance, and community, exploring freedom, queerness, and belonging. Blending voice, electronics, and poetry, I create shapeshifting, improvised performances where song and interaction become pathways to personal and collective expression.
I’m the creator of Voice DNA, a journey into creative freedom through voice, and co-founder of the UK Vocal Improv Festival.
My debut album Goodbye Old World marks a return to community and creativity after the isolation of lockdowns, weaving themes of transformation, rave culture, and world-building through improvisation. I also perform with the London-based queer SWANA collective Harem of No One as my drag alter ego Hayriye Holivud, appearing at Glastonbury Festival, The Divine, and Mighty Hoopla.
I hold an MA in Sonic Arts from Goldsmiths University and have trained with master teachers including Bobby McFerrin, Rhiannon, Jenni Roditi, and Timur Selçuk. My creative journey also draws from studies in yoga, Buddhist meditation, shamanism, painting, writing, martial arts, and conscious dance. I’m deeply inspired by astrology and Jungian psychology, which continue to shape my work and worldview.
