Community Tree Groups: Models of success in planting and protecting new trees

In recent years individuals and groups of tree lovers have set up local community groups to help plant, protect and engage local people with their local trees. These community tree groups are achieving staggering levels of success, working with their local councils to find new tree planting locations, taking the lead on funding for new trees, improving existing tree management policies and engaging local residents to be more involved with trees.
The Urban Tree Festival is proud to showcase representatives from four community tree groups who will be telling us about what they do and what they have achieved, working with local authorities to achieve a better deal for trees in their areas.
