Recording Ancient Trees
Recording Ancient Trees

If you've ever wondered what ancient trees are, how to identify them and then how to protect them; recording them on to the Ancient Tree Inventory is the best place to start.
The Ancient Tree Inventory is a citizen science project that aims to map the locations of special, ancient, veteran and notable trees. Over the past 16 years, more than 170,000 verified trees have been mapped to the ATI, however the inventory is far from complete.
Anyone can be a recorder and submit a tree to the ATI, this is the perfect chance to learn how to plot ancient trees to the inventory!
