BIOS

Tim Buwick has spent virtually his entire career working in the tennis industry. He worked with Tennis Corporation of America in Rochester, NY in their club managerial training program. While there, a Territory Manager position with Wilson Sporting Goods, where he would spend the next 28 years and eventually was promoted to U.S. Promotions Director for Racquet Sports. He was responsible for negotiating and activating sponsorship contracts and worked events with players as Roger Federer, Serena Williams and countless others. Tim is a speaker, writer, coach, emcee and announcer at The Tim Buwick Company (www.timbuwick.com). He is also the co-founder of SpiderMonkey Solutions, Inc., a personal branding company that equips people in the areas of of resume/cover letter writing, social media presence, interview coaching and presentation skills. Tom Daglis USPTA Master Professional, a certification that is shared with less than 1 percent of the USPTA membership worldwide. His extensive involvement with the USPTA has included serving as National President for the USPTA from ‘09-‘13 and the Southern Division in '95-'96. He currently serves on the USPTA Executive Committee as a National Past President.

The USPTA has honored Tom with distinctions such as the George Bacso Tester of the Year, USPTA Southern Professional of the Year, USPTA Mid-Atlantic Professional of the Year, USPTA Maryland Professional of the Year, three-time USPTA Georgia Professional of the Year, three-time USPTA Southern Tester of the Year and the coveted Southern Pride of the South award. In 2006, he was awarded the USPTA's most prestigious national award, as the Alex Gordon United States Professional of the Year. In 2016 Tom was honored with the International Tennis Hall of Fame Educational Merit Award. Tom is a member of the USPTA Southern Division Hall of Fame. He has previously served as Director of Tennis at fine clubs such as Atlanta Country Club, GA; Concourse Athletic Club, GA; and Lakewood Country Club, MD, and is the former Professional Tennis Management Director within the schools of business at both Ferris State University in Michigan and Methodist University in North Carolina. Tom’s most recent position was the Executive Director of the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College, the nation’s largest single surface tennis center with sixty (60) tennis courts. Tom has been a speaker at multiple USPTA World Conferences, USPTA Division Conferences, and Club Managers’ Association of America (CMAA) World Conferences and currently is the President/Owner of the Pelican Tennis Group based in Gulfport, MS, providing tennis consulting services to the entire tennis industry.

Charles Harrington was appointed Chief Executive Officer in May 2008 of Parsons Corporation, an American technology-focused defense, intelligence, security, and infrastructure engineering firm with over 3 billion in annual revenue. He was named Chairman of the Parsons Board of Directors later that year and President of the corporation in 2009. Before his appointment in 2006 to the position of Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer of Parsons, Mr. Harrington was the founding President of one of Parsons’ divisions. In addition to his responsibilities at Parsons, Mr. Harrington serves on the boards of AES Corporation and J.G. Boswell Company. He also serves on several nonprofit boards, including the Business-Higher Education Forum, the California Science Center Foundation Board of Trustees, and the California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo Foundation Board of Directors.

Mark McMahon, USPTA Master Professional, has been recognized as USPTA National Professional of the Year. He is one the tennis industry's most recognized private club consultants. In 2008 Mark founded McMahon | 10s and today works with private clubs to assist in their hiring of the right professional as their Director of Tennis / Racquet Sports.

Career Coaching for Professionals is a personal passion for Mark, and one his most important services. McMahon helps professionals assess their career, establish goals and works helps clients develop the needed skills to achieve success.

In 2020, McMahon | 10s begins delivery of an industry-focused, continuing education program. The Certified Racquet Sports Executive Program is an intensive, 10-module Coaching and Experiential Professional Development and Learning Program. The program is designed exclusively for certified racquet sports professionals who want to Manage, Lead and Direct a private club program more Effectively, more Professionally, and more Confidently. Mark is a former Florida Division President and national board member, and was a founding faculty member of CMAA’s Sports Management Program. Mark has presented at CMAA’s Business Management Institute on Tennis Operations at Georgia State University, and at tennis industry and club management events throughout the US, and internationally.

Katy Moran has an MBA from the University of Michigan and has over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing. She has extensive experience in coaching, creating and executing sales strategies, leading successful cross-functional teams, leveraging retail metrics to increase sales, and growing the top and bottom lines.

Katy first started resume and career coaching while getting her MBA where she was one of 20 students hand picked out of 475 to be trained as a career, interview and resume coach. While in business school, she helped countless graduate and undergraduate students land jobs and internships through her keen eye for details, her personalized approach and her poignant, yet easy to understand guidance.

Katy has worked in various sales and marketing roles for notable companies such as Nike and Salomon. She currently manages the Salomon Footwear, Apparel and Gear business at REI, Salomon’s largest retail partner, globally.

Katy’s passion for helping people navigate the complex business jungle led her to co-found SpiderMonkey Solutions, Inc., a personal branding company that equips people in the areas of of resume/cover letter writing, social media presence, interview coaching and presentation skills.
