4th Annual Wisconsin Conservation Retreat: Bringing Students and Professionals Together

Are you passionate about conservation? Do you want to build your professional network, gain educational and communication skills, and have winter fun in Wisconsin’s Northwoods?
This retreat is for you! For our 4th annual event Jan. 5-8, 2026, we’ve expanded to 3 nights, 4 days of activities. College students (undergrad and graduate) of all majors and backgrounds are welcome. We encourage professionals from diverse career paths in conservation to attend, too!
What to Expect:
- Attendees can choose to participate in environmental activities, conservation storytelling, winter limnology, conservation games, interpretive trail adventures and more!
- Don’t miss the dedicated networking session with conservation professionals from around Wisconsin.
- You can earn a certification in Project WILD (comes with lesson book).
- Enjoy outdoor fun such as hiking, campfires, stargazing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and ice-skating (bring your own gear)!

Bring your own sleeping bag, pillow and towel.
Professional Rate: $175 for 2 nights, get the 3rd night free!
Student Rate: $140 for 2 nights, get the 3rd night free!
Project WILD Certification option: $50 for the lesson book
Fees include all lodging and meals, snappy wifi and hot showers.
