Heritage Week 2019: Oakridge Community History Walking Tour
Sun 24 Feb 2019 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM PST
Description
Join Michael Schwartz, Director of Community Engagement at the Jewish Museum and Archives of BC for a tour of Oakridge – a neighbourhood on the brink of significant redevelopment. In the post-war period, this area was the hub of Vancouver’s Jewish community, home to many families and community organizations. Visit architectural landmarks including the Jewish Community Centre, King David High School, modernist homes, and Temple Sholom synagogue, and learn how these spaces provided the foundations for a vibrant community.
Please note the meeting location will be in your order confirmation email.
Most event expenses are incurred in the four week period just prior to the event. Our registration cancellation policy reflects the fact that we cannot recover these costs. We do not provide refunds or credits for cancellations received less than four (4) weeks prior to an event. We cannot provide refunds or credits for non-attendance.
