A characterful element of many older homes, windows and doors are often the first target for replacement when pursuing energy efficiency goals. Keri Briggs, Vice President of Vintage Woodworks, will discuss some common issues with historic windows and doors that lead to their removal, including drafts, sticking sashes and cracked glass, and how they can be resolved without replacement. She will share how wood windows were originally crafted, and how that tradition can be used to decrease heat loss to make your home more comfortable and energy efficient.
Bring your questions! This informative 1-hour webinar will be relevant for homeowners and professionals looking to improve the energy performance of an older home.
Details of how to join this webinar will be provided to registered participants. If you have not received the connection email two days before the webinar, please let us know at mail@vancouverheritagefoundation.org.
