Feminists Speak Out: Women's Spaces! Women's Fight!
Join the Vancouver Lesbian Collective on International Women's Day for a public event to celebrate the successful fight of BC feminists to keep women-only spaces women-only.
Do you frequently hear that women aren't entitled to our own spaces, centres, and organizations? Are you concerned that legal cases like that of the lesbians in Australia could happen here in Canada? Come and hear how women in BC have successfully fought to keep men out of women's spaces. Women-only spaces remain vital to women's security, freedom, and full participation in society, and there is more work to do to defend them!
We will also premiere Rise Up! A podcast hosted by Julie Bindel with the late Lee Lakeman, a fierce feminist advocate and defender of women's spaces and organizations.
Tickets sales end March 6 at 11:55pm PST. None sold at the door. ID checked at the door.
