About Social Presencing Theater

Social Presencing Theater, a new synthesis between movement, embodied presence, dialogue, and stillness. It is not "theater" in the conventional sense, but it uses simple body postures and movements to dissolve limiting concepts, to communicate directly, to access intuition and to make visible both current reality, and the deeper – often invisible – leverage points for creating profound change.

About this session

In this three hour practice sessions we’ll practice two to three different forms of Social Presencing Theater. Each exercises will be introduced by its basic principles, physically experienced and reflected in the group.

We always will start with the solo-practice „20 minute dance“ and then continue with (variations of) the classic group practices „Stuck Dance“ and „The Village“. Experienced practitioners are welcome to share a wish for a certain variation or emphasis of the class.

Registration and financial contribution:

Access only with valid ticket. Register here online. Places are limited to 12 participants due to room size. 

Financial Contribution to the 3-hour session: 25,- to 35,- sliding scale. Payment cash at the door.

Discounts: If you joined more than three times within the last 12 months or if you've been a regular in the past, a community discount of 5,- to 10,- Euros can be applied. Contact us if you are in a financially challenging situation and you need support to attend.

Cancellation Fee: Cancellation up to 72hours before the start of the event is free. Cancellation less then 72hours (3 days) of the start of the event 15,- Euros payable via IBAN. Cancellation less then 24hours (3 days) of the start of the event 25,- Euros payable via IBAN.

Wellness protocol:

Come in good health. Stay home in case of any symptoms of a cold. Get tested if you had contact with someone with symptoms or if you've been amongst many people in the last days. If you have any questions or concerns, get in touch.

The event will take place in a 40 sqm room. The practice might involve touch.

For whom is this?

For people with a systemic view on social change, who are open to experiments and self-exploration and for whom embodiment is not a new concept. You do not need to have any previous experience in SPT.

We aim to create an inclusive space. We are welcoming people of different bodies, gender identities, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, physical and mental abilities and ethnicities. We expect from everyone participating to support this through mutual care and respect within our capacities. If you're unsure if this practice or group is for you, check in with us beforehand.

The venue is on the third floor and unfortunately not wheel chair accessible. If you need assistance, let us know, we might be able to provide a free ticket.

Language will be English, with German translation as needed.

• A notebook and pen
• Comfortable clothing in layers - stay warm/cool!
• For your own care a bottle of water/tea and maybe a snack

Facilitation:

Manuela Bosch (she/her, they/them) is a facilitator and guide for transformational experiences in groups, organizations and individuals. Manuela works with various unconventional techniques that include body, consciousness and nature such as Generative Facilitation, Dragon Dreaming, Rites of Passage and Social Presencing Theater (SPT). She has been part of the SPT Advance Training Program in Rosendale NY from 2016 to 2017. Manuela offers SPT in Berlin and beyond since 2015.
