Counterminers presents: Clonez (how I learned to love myself) by Josh Baumring Gledhill

A nameless playwright has written something about two clones of himself in a relationship with each other. He has hired two unwitting actors to play two versions of himself in order to better understand the meaning of self-love. Grappling with his debt to an evil advertising conglomerate, a heckling rival playwright and the sheer crassness of his own material, can our playwrighting hero make it to the end of the show and offer something meaningful to say about self-love, mental health and loneliness? To be honest, the odds aren’t exactly in his favour but we’ll certainly watch him try…

Dealing with themes of self-isolation, self-hatred and a what it is to truly love, this new meta comedy from Joshua Baumring-Gledhill attempts to make you laugh, cringe and maybe even cry as we witness a man’s full mental breakdown laid bare for all to see, live on stage, for your viewing pleasure.
