A one man comedy about Gaysians, masculinity, and being terrified of sports. Jordan, and his much smarter ‘professor’ alter ego, learns the ins and (pull)outs of heartbreak. The only logical thing to do? Join a football team...
What do the gays think of masculinity? A one-man comedy about gaysians, masculinity, and breakups. Jordan has just broken up with his first boyfriend, and has dreams of entering his “healing era.” From nights out, to hookups, to joining a football team, Pimm’s without the cucumber follows Jordan’s musings on heartbreak, culture, and male acceptance in a hilariously confessional, honest, and relatable fashion. With interjections from the ‘professor,’ Jordan’s alter ego who is MUCH smarter than he is, the play tells the all too familiar story of the search for acceptance, and the lasting effect someone can have, highlighting every queer boy’s experience of unexpected relationships. Jordan has to define what masculinity means to him and stop seeing it as this scary, untouchable thing that is blocked by his queerness. A gay man can be queer, camp, and masculine, all at the same time, right? Step one? Join a football team…
