How long can a someone keep a secret before it tears them apart?
Just Fall Over is a darkly comic new play about the Sinclair family, an aristocratic Surrey household forced back into the same room after ten years to decide whether their daughter Sarah should be taken off life support. As old resentments resurface and carefully constructed versions of the past begin to unravel, the family’s polished exterior quickly gives way to cruelty, guilt, and chaos.
Blending sharp British humour with emotional intensity, the play explores family loyalty, class, morality, and the stories people tell themselves to survive. Audiences are invited to laugh at the Sinclairs before slowly realising just how uncomfortable that laughter should feel.
Fans of Inside No. 9, Fleabag, and Succession will feel right at home with the show’s biting humour, dysfunctional family dynamics, and morally grey characters.
Written by Belle Hobbs and Gracie Bradley of Six People Away, Just Fall Over is theatre for anyone who enjoys uncomfortable comedy, emotional messiness, and watching people slowly expose themselves.
