About the Event

The Vancouver Classical Guitar Festival 2026 is profoundly honoured to present our main guest artist, the legendary Argentine guitarist and composer Máximo Diego Pujol, for an unforgettable night of music.

Direct from Buenos Aires, Pujol is internationally celebrated as one of the most vital voices in contemporary guitar music. Widely considered a natural successor to the great Astor Piazzolla, his world-renowned compositions brilliantly fuse the passionate, syncopated rhythms of traditional Argentine tango, milonga, and candombe with the formal sophistication of classical music.

This headline performance offers a rare opportunity to experience a living legend sharing his own music in at the beautiful BlueShore Theatre.  The evening will be presented in two sets, separated by a brief intermission.
