This year we have a theme on congenital heart disease and arrhythmias and are delighted to announce an action packed, star-studded programme! World-renowned expert speakers including Professor Brian Scansen from Colorado State University, Birmingham Children Hospital’s lead paediatric cardiologist Dr Chetan Metha, arrhythmia experts Brigite Pedro and Ruth Willis updating us on managing atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmias, Ingrid Vernemmen from Ghent University providing insights on equine interventional cardiology, Fabio Sarcinella will update us on atrial septostomy as treatment for MVD, as well as research abstracts, case reports and thought- provoking discussions that the VCS meetings are well known for.

We are excited to be running a separate nurse stream on Friday 8^th morning as our nursing numbers within the society grow. This will be face-to-face only and not recorded. Nurses and allied professionals will be able to select to attend this morning session in isolation, or join for the full conference.

All those registered will have access to the recorded main programme content, which is released several weeks after the event. Please note the event will not be live-streamed- purchasing an on-line access ticket will give access to recordings once they have been finalised.

As ever, there will be plenty of ​time to catch up with ​friends and colleagues and make new connections.

Gala Dinner & Entertainments

Our Friday evening gala dinner is open to all those attending and partners/family. This will be a sit-down 3-course meal and selected beverages, followed by live music, competitive events and some other surprises!

There will be poster session once again, with cheese and wine. This will be on the Friday evening and is included in the ticket price.

Breed Sub Committee Meeting

Our annual breed committee meeting with complimentary meal will take place at the same venue on the 7^th November from 8pm. Please book if you are attending so we have an idea of numbers for room allocation and catering.

AGM

The annual general meeting will run 4pm-5pm on Friday 8^th November. Members are invited to raise matters. Please email secretary@vet-cardio.co.uk if you have items you wish to add to the agenda, by 25^th October.
