VENTUREWALKS - Coaching Netwalking

Date: 2pm Friday 29 May 2026

Location:  The Olive Tree, Sutton Green Road Sutton Green, Guildford GU4 7QD

It's the end of the month, it's Friday, relax into your weekend with VENTUREWALKS Outdoor Netwalk!

Close down your laptop, switch off your phone and Step Out and Connect Deeper with us!

What happens?

We will start the walk by convening and introducing the walk, and then a coaching question will be posed to ponder as you walk with the rest of the group, we walk at a leisurely pace and stop at points of interest, so that you have plenty of time to connect with nature and your fellow walkers.

The walks are normally between 4 and 8 km long and take between an hour and a half and two hours.

At the end of the walk we retire to a pub and as a group discuss how we have connected with each other and nature and listen and share the collective wisdom of the group in response to the question posed earlier in the afternoon.

Our community of walkers is is friendly, open and authentic and continues to build with every walk we do.

Why Coaching Netwalking?

I am passionate about supporting the learning and development of people, I love to connect with people, I'm a keen walker and am always outside, therefore I combined all of these into coaching netwalking, it's like networking, but we walk and learn from eachother on the way.

Our Netwalks enable you to exercise, they support your mental well-being, and make new connections. I have made some great friendships and met new colleagues over the past two years since running these, so come along and join us.

Group coaching on our Netwalking experiences turns the trail into a thinking space where founders stretch their perspective as much as their legs. Out in the open, conversations cut through the noise. You bring the challenges you’re wrestling with; others bring their own wisdom together, new insights and next steps emerge.

This isn’t a boardroom exercise. The landscape acts as a catalyst: it sharpens focus, fuels creative problem-solving, and builds a natural sense of accountability among those walking beside you. Each participant contributes to a shared field of insight, creating moments that can’t be manufactured indoors.

Every Netwalk becomes a source of fresh inspiration and renewed momentum, supporting your personal growth, strengthening your leadership, and helping you move you and your business performance forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Who comes?

Participants quickly realise how powerful time in nature can be. They’re the kind of people who lift others as readily as they lift themselve, they’re often looking for more than the usual “networking circuit.” They know those fast-paced, noisy, speed networking environments rarely bring out their best. What they want is something real: genuine connection, not another stack of business cards; authenticity over volume.

VentureWalks attract a broad spectrum of business owners accountants, coaches, financial advisers, creators, authors, wellbeing practioners, consultants, and plenty more. Industry labels fade into the background out here; what matters is meeting people at a human level, where support, insight, and opportunity arise naturally.

Whether you’re a seasoned founder or at the beginning of your journey, our Netwalking events offer a place where everyone is welcome and growth is shared. Our community leans into well-being, reflection, and personal development, because they know that when they invest in themselves, their businesses and their communities grow stronger too.

What do I need to bring?

Depending on the weather bring clothes appropriate for the condition. A waterproof coat, gloves and a hat and warm clothes in the cold; water, sunscreen and lighter clothes in warmer weather. I always recommond sturdy trainers or walking boots and not wellington boots.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, dogs are welcome.

What happens after the walk?

We normally convene at a pub or cafe at the end of the walk where we discuss the question posed, we are friendly community and this is usually a great opportunity to connect deeper with the rest of the group and to learn more about them whilst sharing our insights and wisdom. We buy our own drinks and you can drink whatever you like, tea, coffee, soft drinks and alcholic drinks are available at most of our venues.

Safety:

All VentureWalks are risk assessed and relevant equipment brought along with us, your guide is First Aid trained, insured and very experienced in the outdoor environment.

Who is Phil Banfield?: Qualified Business and Life Coach, Wilderness facilitator, Mountain Leader and North Downs Ambassador and I have been taking people in The Great Outdoors for over 20 years and found people relax, chat freely side by side and allow the conversation to flow whilst surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of nature. So in 2023 I put my love of meeting people and nature together to run these netwalks.

Please Note: The price of the booking does not include food and drink.
