The Plan?

Join us for our final campsite restoration at Nimbelwill!

We're heading over to Nimblewill Gap in the Georgia mountains to restore some campsites that are in danger of closing down. We'll be repairing tent pads, building fire rings, and in general getting these campsites in tip-top shape.

Want to Camp?

The USFS has set aside spots for our volunteers to camp for the weekend while they help. The location will be shared once we have the team signed up.

Communication

  • After signing up, you'll be added to a Google Chat or Facebook Messenger group where we will be coordinating the project.
  • During the event we will use GMRS radios. If you do not have one, we will loan you one.

What to bring?

Gloves, long pants, closed-toed shoes, a great attitude, lunch (if for the day), off grid camping supplies / food if staying overnight, and that's about it. We will have everything else, (Including tools, water, PPE, etc.)

Some important things to note...

  • Be sure to take the time to fill out the registration form carefully.
  • Everyone that signs up will be put into a group chat so questions, logistics, and discussions can take place.
  • Emails will also be sent out to confirm contact and communication. Please be sure to provide a valid email when signing up.
  • Camping space is limited. There will be a team captain at camp.
    • If camping space fills up please consider coming for the day and possibly arranging your own camping in the area.
  • All volunteers need to wear closed toe shoes and long pants.
  • If camping please be aware that camp is dispersed style and will NOT have electricity or bathrooms.
  • Come prepared to be off-grid for camping with water, food, and camping gear.
  • The camping area and project area are stock 4x4 friendly.
  • This project is a part of our volunteer agreement with the USFS. We will have official volunteer forms to fill out at the event. During the event, all volunteers will be covered by the USFS in case of an accident.
  • This project is open to everyone and we do not discriminate.

Can't make it out this time or want to help pay for this project?
Any donations you make over on our Donation Page will help us pay for personal protective equipment to help keep our volunteers safe as well as any other equipment we need to get the project done!

Thank you!
