Walk while you work and join us for some netwalking!
Join us for a Spring Wellbeing Walk at the wonderful Rising Sun Country Park. This is an opportunity to step outside of the office, get some fresh air, and network with others.
We’ll take a gentle stroll around the country park, take in the nature reserve and see the great work going on in the visitor’s centre and on the organic farm, including an opportunity for you to purchase some tasty treats from the fabulous artisan bakery ‘Earth & Fire’.
About the Country Park (https://my.northtyneside.gov.uk/category/385/rising-sun-country-park)
The Rising Sun Country Park is 400 acres of green space in the heart of North Tyneside. As well as grassland, woodland, ponds, wetlands, a lake, and a bird hide, there is an extensive network of footpaths and bridleways for walkers, cyclists, and horse riders to enjoy. It’s a haven for a diverse array of wildlife and an ideal space to connect with the outdoors.
The park has been awarded the Green Flag award which is a nationally recognised quality mark for parks.

The Route
The path we will take is approximately 2 miles and will take us around 60-80 minutes, allowing us to pause and take in the wildlife, stop at the bakery etc. It's a flat route, following a gravel/dirt/woodland track, and it's fully accessible.
What to Wear
Comfortable clothing and footwear. It may be muddy in places so wear footwear you don’t mind getting dirty.
