Join the Vermont Green Building Network (VGBN) for a tour of high performance homes under construction, including an innovative affordable housing development in the beautiful Mad River Valley. We will tour two projects being built by Shelterwood Construction: an all electric, fossil fuel free home currently under construction in Moretown designed by Joan Heaton Architects, and a second high performance, all electric, fossil fuel free home designed by Kaplan Thompson Architects. We will then tour the Waitsfield Ten affordable housing project - a new energy efficient development taking place on the site of an architectural icon designed and built by Yestermorrow students in the 1980s. Waitsfield Ten will ultimately be comprised of ten homes on small lots. Afterwards, join us to network as we gather at Lawson's Finest Liquids in Waitsfield.
Building tours will be led by Colin Lindberg of Shelterwood Construction, Mac Rood owner of the Waitsfield Ten development, and Anastasia Laurenzi of Yestermorrow Design/Build School.
