Building Science (BS) and Beer Winter Gathering
Come join fellow Vermont Green Building Network (VGBN) members and building trades professionals for an informal gathering centered around Building Science discussion and conversation.
This month’s focus: roofs and roofing - to vent, or not to vent - is it even a question?
Unvented roof assemblies ('hot roofs', we used to call them) can be tricky here in Vermont. They are notorious for their inherent tendency to suffer from condensation problems. For this season's edition of BS and Beer Vermont, we'll be focused on unvented roof assemblies, their risks and benefits, how to design and install them properly, and whether there's ever a good reason to do so. VGBN Board Members Karen Bushey (VEIC) and Nate Gusakov (Green Mountain Enclosure Consulting) will offer a brief presentation and lead the evening's discussion. We will also leave time for networking.
Limited space and registration is required!
Vermont Green Building Network is pleased to host this gathering for the benefit of our members. Not a member? Please join us! Visit https://www.vtgreenbuildingnetwork.org/member-benefits for more information.
