The 2022 winners of the Vermont’s Greenest Building Awards Competition will be recognized. Learn about inspiring commercial, residential and net zero buildings that create a new standard for environmentally responsible building in Vermont. This year’s keynote presentation, "Just by Design: Creating Balance and Promoting Wellbeing", will feature Dr. Jude Smith Rachele. How can we consciously and knowingly design buildings that are healthy, beautiful and encourage greater sense of community and connection? We will explore which practices need to be undone, and what new practices can be adopted in order to elevate our ability to live harmoniously with nature and one another.

About the keynote speaker, Dr. Jude Smith Rachele:
Dr. Rachele has for the past 25 years been providing consultancy in the areas of leadership, ethics and governance. Dr. Rachele is CEO of Abundant Sun Ltd, an international cultural transformation agency, which she founded in the UK in 2003 and in Vermont in 2015. She works internationally with government departments, human services organizations, schools, universities, multinational corporations, energy companies, retail supermarkets, global law firms and charities. With an unconventional approach to global diversity and inclusion, Dr. Rachele authored the book “Dismantling Diversity Management: Introducing an Ethical Performance Improvement Campaign” published in June 2017.
Dr. Rachele has taught as an Adjunct Professor at Marlboro College, VT on its MBA in Managing for Sustainability. She is also a radio commentator on Vermont Public Radio. She holds a BA, in Psychology, and a PhD, in Business.
