VGP is thrilled to introduce new voices and unique perspectives to help you explore more ways to improve your personal health and wellness, brought to you by Zoetis. On May 28th, join us with special guest, Carol Mcamis.
During this restorative event, take a moment apart from the clinic to breathe, create, and reconnect with your spark...
Veterinary work is meaningful, demanding, and deeply human. This 90-minute mini-retreat offers you a chance to step out of the clinic rhythm and into a playful, more creative space—one designed to ease your body, lift your spirit, and rekindle your natural spark.
During this playful session, you’ll explore a delightful mix of expressive art, insightful writing prompts, easy movement drawn from Feldenkrais principles, and calming breath and vocal play. Each activity is short, accessible, and infused with curiosity and lightness—simple and surprisingly effective tools that soften tension, refresh your mind, and help your system settle.
You don’t need any art background, singing experience, or movement skills. Just bring your tired shoulders, your overworked brain, a few simple art supplies like paper and a few colored pens or crayons or markers, and the part of yourself that’s ready to feel a little more alive again.
This is your moment to pause, reset, and reconnect with what feels good and supportive in your own body. Expect to leave feeling clearer, lighter, and quietly renewed—with creative practices you and your team can return to on any busy day.
About Carol:
Carol McAmis, B.M. & M.M. (University of Kansas), is a longtime voice teacher and creative wellness guide who loves helping people breathe easier and feel at home in their own skin. Drawing on years of teaching singers, Feldenkrais® movement work, and ARTbundance™ art prompts, she creates playful, restorative workshops where curiosity leads the way, stress melts a little at the edges, and participants often surprise themselves with how much ease—and delight—they can find.
Thanks to our partner, Zoetis, for sponsoring this event!
