VGP is thrilled to introduce new voices and unique perspectives to help you explore more ways to improve your personal health and wellness, brought to you by Zoetis. On August 8th, join us with special guest, Aaron Shaw, OTR/L, CHT, CSCS, the founder of the Vetspan Collective and VP of Operations for Canine Arthritis Resources & Education.
Veterinary professionals lift, twist, bend, and carry every single day—but most never train their bodies to meet these demands safely. Over time, the mismatch between job demands and physical capacity leads to fatigue, pain, and career-threatening injuries. This webinar focuses on building strength and using body mechanics to make clinic life safer and easier. Attendees will learn:
- Why strength is the ultimate form of injury prevention.
- How to use “hip hinge” and “core-first” strategies to reduce strain during lifting and handling.
- Simple, time-efficient exercises that build the physical durability needed for veterinary work.
- Practical resets and movement strategies to protect joints and reduce daily wear-and-tear.
Participants will leave with clear, actionable tools they can use immediately— whether it’s adjusting the way they lift a large dog or adding a 5-minute strength routine to their week—to feel stronger, protect their bodies, and extend their careers.
